They are: never be afraid to be yourself; don't worry about what others think of you; and no matter how bad it gets, it could always be worse. The ending was very heartfelt. I enjoyed this book read it in one sitting. Through her struggles with CF a friend of mine went through the same thing with drug abuse, he is still alive and is still fighting.
