Suzanne Welander began canoeing in 1999. Since then, she has completed hundreds of trips exploring Georgia's diverse streams or eddy-hopping down the Ocoee in her whitewater canoe. She has a special passion for wilderness, stoked by multi-day self-supported canoe trips in remote parts of Alaska, Canada, Montana, and Arizona, in addition to canoe-camping getaways in wild corners of Georgia. Suzanne's curiosity continually draws her to explore sections of rivers she has not yet paddled and to monitor the changes at those she revisits. She's also a half-decent whitewater canoe slalom racer. When she isn't paddling or writing about rivers, Suzanne works for a North Georgia organic farm and plays saxophone in the Seed and Feed Marching Abominable. Suzanne lives in Atlanta with her husband who's also an avid canoeist, their young son, and a small flock of chickens.Veteran paddler Bob Sehlinger has led canoeing trips throughout eastern North America and is the former president of the Eastern Professional River Outfitters Association. I live in Georgia and am an avid paddler. This is an excellent and as far as I can tell an up to date reference book for paddling in the state. I agree with their ratings and comments for the sections of rivers I have paddled, and especially with their reminders to make sure we all respect the rights of landowners. Well done.

Looks good and seems to be very much to the point considering the little knowledge I have about rivers and kayaking/canoeing.Hope to put it to use with grandchildren soon!

Scott DeVeaux is a nationally recognized jazz scholar whose 1997 book The Birth of Bebop: A Social and Musical History won the American Book Award, an ASCAP–Deems Taylor Award, the Otto Kinkeldey Award from the American Musicological Society, and the ARSC Award for Excellence in Historical Sound Research. Years passed and for different reasons, I was the only one still faithful to this series.That said. I won't go into details. Because I don't want to spoil a thing. I'll just say, I liked bits of this book, love a few more bits of this book, but I was kind of sad thinking, "Oh no, this one will get from me 3 stars?". Then the ending that was not a ending happened. I checked my kindle, I checked audible...something was wrong? An extra chapter or 2 missing? No. It ended. Like that.Is obvious Beep will have her book or books. Thats great for this author and hope she can write a 100 more! And I know I'll buy them.I'll just wait in the sidelines for the opinion of readers I've come to trust outside my group once Beep's book/s are done before I read. Because the disappointment is big and real and it hurts. No only because I didn't find it satisfying at all, also because I know my opinion is going to, at the very least, annoy others. I admire Darynda, she is one of those authors that always engage with fans and is very talented. And the fans of this series are amazing people and I wanted to cheer and celebrate with them. Not be the lonely fan with a sad expression. Envious of how they reacted to this book.Also, sucks to be that fan that instead of swallowing her negative opinion and discuss it in some private place, need to share it.

Wow! I have no clue how to begin to write this review!! I’ve been a diehard Charley Davidson (and Darynda) fan for many years, and it’s extremely bittersweet that it has now come to an end. In all honesty, I have mixed feelings about book 13.While it had all the feels, the Charley-isms, and the sexiness we’ve all grown to love, it fell a bit flat for me. There were times it felt like the story would jump randomly to a different plot, confusing me. A lot happens in this story, so you definitely need to pay attention, otherwise you could get confused easily. Also, the big buildup for the big fight, it ended a bit quickly for my liking.Now the ending? I hated it. It’s not what I would have wanted for them, and it was basically a cliffhanger, or more accurately, a setup for Beep’s spinoff series.All in all, this wasn’t what I expected or hoped for for the ending of an amazing series. Did I enjoy it still? Yes. But I didn’t love it as I have all the previous books. And I hate that the most. I truly wanted to love this book, but I just didn’t.Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. This is it. The conclusion to the Charley Davidson series. I thought I was ready for this book, but boy was I wrong. I was prepared for anything, and made sure to keep tissues close by, because I knew I would need them. This review will contain spoilers if you haven't read the previous books in the series. So think twice before you continue reading. If you read the previous book, you know Charley did the one thing she was explicitly told not to, which resulted in her paying the price: being kicked off the earthly plain for eternity. But of course she makes it back to earth because there is a battle to be fought. This book was action-packed, mysterious, hilarious, emotional and amazing. Summoned to Thirteenth Grave was perfect.It was also very emotional for me, because I spent more than six years hanging out with Charley and her tribe. Six years of going on crazy adventures, laughing and crying with them. Each and every character in this book has a special place in my heart. Darynda Jones, like in her previous books, found a way to add twists and turns to the story. There were still so many secrets to be revealed, and some of them shocked the hell out of me. Don't expect this book to only focus on the battle, if you know Charley, she can multitask like no other. She won't leave any case unsolved, and I loved that the author included them into the story. I am also happy that we got to see every character again. I am going to miss them so much, and they will hold a special place in my heart forever. It will take some time for me to get over this series. The only upside to the conclusion of this book is that there will be a spin-off focusing on Charley and Reyes daughter Beep.
