The content of the book gives a fine general description of information that should be expected to understand. However, this was purchased as a backup book to use at home and has been very gently used over the course of 5 months and most of the pages have fallen out and it is now more of a folder with loose papers than a book. We have purchased many Cambridge books over the last five years and have used them for multiple years. This is the first time this has happened and it is not worth $50 as it won’t make it through even one year. 3 stars for content, 0 for quality

The book is ideal for international learners and the overall syllabus coverage is excellent, however I can’t help but notice that the book wasn’t neat around the corners; not looking ‘new’ as expected.

I've been through this book twice, both on my own and then as part of a small group. It is excellent, what I liked it how it addresses core issues that affect people every day. These are issues that women tend to particularly struggle with (though I'm sure many men do as well)--issues such as body image, dwelling on the "if onlys" and "what ifs" and other thoughts that make us anxious. I liked the way she wove scripture and personal stories throughout the book, and how scripture memory, prayer, and meditation or journaling were emphasized in the accompanying study guide. It's well worth reading--and reading again

One of my absolute favorite Linda Dillow (or any) books ever. This book was such a calming breath of fresh air. It was not for anxiety as I initially thought (unsure how I would enjoy it or resonate with it, since I don't feel like I am an anxious person). It was so good in just giving great, solid encouragement and support for embracing where you are in life and encouragement for moving forward in life, too. For finding joy in exactly where you are. I love love love this book. Linda is such a life-giving book writer. I am so blessed by her wisdom and insight!

I loved this book. It really was so helpful and a wonderful read! So many times in life we let anxiety rule over us. I think it's important to learn to trust in the Lord that he will take your anxiety away. We need all the help we can get I believe. This book was really helpful during college especially. I feel that you are finding yourself and it's really important to make sure you have a solid foundation. A book cannot take your anxiety away, but it can definitely help with learning how to deal with it in a Godly way and giving all your worries to God.

This book came at just the time when I was very anxious and reading what God says in the Bible and hearing from the author and others really helped me put my life in perspective and be calm about circumstances. I have gone back to the book and suggested scripture to be reminded again about how much God is in control, not me, and HE is the one that can calm my anxious heart.

This book came into my life right when I needed it. The last two years have been filled with anxiety and this book showed me that I am not alone, not only is good with me but many other Christian women have had the same struggles. Definitely a great book to read on your own or in a bible study!

We are using this for a small group women’s Bible study. It’s an excellent book and so helpful in reminding us about being thankful and the need to repent of grumbling and complaining.

The book I received must have been a return from a previous customer. The first two chapters were all marked up. I threw away all the packaging material after receiving it and it looking like it was new. When I turned to the first chapter to begin reading, I found it completely marked up. Frustrating!!

If you are a Christian and believe that God is in control of your entire life, but sometimes are just too wishful or hopeful that your life will turn out a certain way you want it to............... This IS the book for you! I cannot say enough about this book and I've told ALL my friends they need to buy it. So many times we, Christians, get so wrapped up in what we desire for our lives, that we forget our Mighty Counselor is in charge. KATHLEEN C. BERKELEY is Professor of History at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is the author of Like a Plague of Locusts: From an Antebellum Town to a New South City, Memphis, Tennessee, 1850-1880 (1991) and numerous articles including the 1986 History of Education Society's prize-winning selection The Ladies Want to Bring About Reform in the Public Schools: Public Education and Women's Rights in the Post-Civil War South. Patrick the penguin awakens one morning to find he's inexplicably turned pink from head to foot. Boys can't be pink! he declares in all-capital letters. The doctor has no explanation (none is ever offered), but Patrick's dad points out that flamingos in Africa are pink and at least half are boys. Tired of being teased, Patrick swims to Africa and tries, unsuccessfully, to fit in with the friendly flamingos. Returning home, he is welcomed and respected for his adventure, and happily resigns himself to being forever pink: Being different wasn't so bad after all. Although Chamberlain's comical illustrations suit the exclamatory tone of the text, the book is loud and busy. Blurring a retro message about gender coding with a lesson about difference, the story fails to inspire sympathy for Patrick or offer solace to kids who might share Patrick's feelings. Design choices don't help; the erratic placement of text turns many pages into a jumble of words fighting for space with the images. Ages 4–8. (Jan.)

His friends are impressed with his journey and happy to see him, prompting him to decide that his mom was right—being different is not so bad. This rehashing of the theme of accepting one's differences includes humor, but Patrick's classmates' turnaround is a bit facile, and nothing is truly new here. Charmberlain's bright cartoon illustrations are reminiscent of Mary Murphy's work, although somewhat more detailed. Patrick is, well, very pink, with his feet an impressive shade of fuchsia. While the text is set in a typeface that can be hard to decipher at times, the story reads aloud smoothly and reflects a childlike sensibility. However, some literal-minded youngsters may want a bit more explanation for why the penguin became pink and whether or not he will stay that way. Returning home, he finds that his dichromatic friends are fascinated by his adventure and immediately accept him back, resulting in the facile and inevitable conclusion that “Being different wasn’t so bad after all.” The plot and text are unrefined, and it’s uncertain whether this is trying to be a story about exotic birds, gender identity, self-acceptance, or all three. The art makes the strongest statement, with thick lines and distinct, bright, eye-catching colors.

The point being, this book stretches to be a bridge between itself and many other works. Truly fascinating, truly a privilege.

The magnum opus from the "Alter Rebbe" of the Lubavitch chassidic movement which describes a particular Jewish view of human nature and personal sanctification. The author's contrast of the spiritual characteristics of the Jew as against the gentile has led to accusations of racism. To the modern mind some discussions might seem quaintly dated where they appear to conflict with established scientific knowledge. About the Author

Muhammad Yusuf Saleem was born in Afghanistan. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from International Islamic University Malaysia in 1992, where he also studied his Master of Comparative Laws (MCL) and obtained a PhD in 2003. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, International Islamic University, Malaysia. He has taught a series of courses on Fiqh for Economist, Islamic Transactions (Mu'amalat), Islamic Jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh), Islamic banking and finance, zakat, waqf and Islamic law of inheritance (Faraidh). He has also taught Islamic Finance, and Fiqh al-mu'amalt courses for postgraduate students at the Graduate School of Management and at the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance. Dr. Saleem contributed several articles to various local and international journals. He has participated and presented papers in international conferences in Kuala Lumpur, Dhaka, Jeddah, and Bahrain. Among his works are An Introduction to the Theoretical Foundations of Islamic Transactions, Muslim Powerlessness and the Nation-state, Methods and Methodologies in Fiqh and Islamic Economics, Mutawalli Institutions for the Management of Waqf Properties, Form v.
